Are there any orpington chicken breeders in northern ireland?
I really want to have chickens, particuarly orpingtons, but i live
in northern ireland and most ferries don't allow poultry to be transported across from england to here. I know I can hatch eggs that can be imported from england, but I don't want cockrels. . . . Help!!!!
Hi there...since I live in the USA I'm unable to answer your question specifically, but thought and wondered if you would be able to personally ask several local poultry breeders (as many as you can meet) where you live to learn if this particular breed can be acquired aside from eggs/cockrels. Perhaps, there must be an agricultural/health reason which prohibits anyone from exporting/importing poultry between the two regions.
